Submersible Pressure Transducer Kit
The water-level sensor behind every HydroLynx level station, available as a kit for custom installations. The transducer rests at the bottom of the stream, well or stilling tube and measures the pressure of the water column above it; a vented cable references atmospheric pressure so barometric swings don't read as level changes.

Picking a range
1 PSI of water pressure ≈ 2.31 ft of depth. Choose the smallest range that covers your maximum expected stage with headroom — accuracy is a percentage of full scale, so an oversized sensor wastes resolution.
| Range | Approx. depth coverage | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 0–5 PSIG | ~11.5 ft | Small streams, channels, detention basins |
| 0–15 PSIG | ~34.7 ft | Most rivers and flood-warning stage ranges |
| 0–30 PSIG | ~69.3 ft | Deep rivers, reservoirs |
| 0–100 PSIG | ~231 ft | Reservoirs, deep wells |
| 0–300 PSIG | ~693 ft | Deep groundwater installations |
At ±0.10% FSO, a 0–15 PSIG sensor resolves level to roughly ±0.03 ft; the same accuracy class on a 0–300 PSIG sensor is ±0.7 ft — which is why range selection matters.
