Product Selection Guide

Specify your equipment in five steps

Answer the questions for your site and the guide assembles a specification worksheet — model numbers, factory options, and the site-specific details we'll need (radio, frequency, sensor range) — ready to send for a formal quote.

STEP 1What is this site's role in your network?
New field monitoring station
A self-reporting station measuring conditions at a remote site
Repeater site
Extend radio coverage across terrain — optionally with sensors
50386P family
Base / central receive station
Receiver/decoder hardware and data-collection software
Upgrade legacy ALERT equipment
Bring existing HydroLynx transmitters to ALERT2
Low-water crossing warning
Automated flashing roadway signs triggered by stream level
STEP 2Which telemetry protocol does your network run?

Every HydroLynx station is built in both versions. ALERT2 adds collision-free TDMA time slots, forward error correction, GPS time sync and 4× the data rate — it's the current NHWC standard.

ALERT2
Current standard. Models carry the /A2 suffix.
e.g. 5354/A2
Legacy ALERT
Matching an existing ALERT network you aren't ready to migrate.
e.g. 5354
