Decades of protecting lives and property with real-time data

HydroLynx Systems manufactures real-time data telemetry systems that give emergency managers, water utilities, and agencies the accurate, timely hydrological data they need to make decisions when it matters most — during a storm, not after it.

Our story

HydroLynx traces its lineage to Sierra-Misco, a pioneer of the ALERT flood-warning protocol. When Sierra-Misco's environmental instrument line was acquired by NovaLynx, the foundation was laid for a company devoted entirely to flood warning and environmental data telemetry.

Founded in 1998 by Kim Blair and David Leader, HydroLynx set out to develop technology that would safeguard communities against the devastating impacts of floods. The company helped drive the industry forward, developing and deploying Real-Time Data Telemetry Systems built on the ALERT and ALERT2 protocols.

Embraced by municipalities and agencies worldwide, those systems interface with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) platforms to provide the early-warning capability that transformed flood preparedness and mitigation.

In 2023, HydroLynx joined the ISG Devices family — a provider of detection and measurement devices. The move expanded HydroLynx's product offerings and opened doors to a broader customer base, while keeping the same focus on equipment agencies can depend on.
