Rain and snow, one gauge, no heater. The 5045 uses proven load-cell technology to weigh the precipitation collected in its catch, where environmentally friendly ethanol-glycerin antifreeze converts frozen precipitation to liquid. Advanced digital filtering rejects wind, vibration and other noise, measurement is unaffected by high precipitation rates, and every gauge ships fully calibrated from the factory.
