Atmospheric Sensors
The sensors that turn a rain station into a weather station: relative humidity and air temperature in a naturally aspirated radiation shield, solid-state barometric pressure, and calibrated solar radiation. Each connects to 50386 and 50388 transmitters through a standard 0–5 Vdc analog input.
Humidity & temperature 2048RH/T 2046T
The 2048RH/T combines relative humidity and air temperature in a single probe, using microprocessor linearization across the full measurement range and an advanced humidity element with exceptional resistance to contaminants. The 2046T is the temperature-only version, using an integrated-circuit transducer with a linear output proportional to absolute temperature. Solar radiation shield 4550
A four-plate, naturally aspirated shield that protects air temperature and RH sensors from overheating in direct sun. U-clamp mounts to any pipe up to 1 inch, with a 7-inch mounting arm and set-screw sensor retention. Included with every 2048RH/T and 2046T. Datasheet (PDF) →

Barometric pressure 1522
Solid-state pressure measurement with excellent repeatability and temperature compensation, housed in a NEMA-4X enclosure. The standard 100 mb span is set to your site elevation (-988 to 11,775 ft MSL) so the output reads as MSL-equivalent pressure; a 600 mb span (500–1100 mb) is available. Microprocessor signal conditioning is user-configurable over RS-232, and 2.8 mA drain suits remote sites. Specify site elevation at order. Datasheet (PDF) →

Solar radiation 4015
A silicon photovoltaic pyranometer measuring total sun-and-sky radiation from 0 to 1400 W/m², responding to a 100% change within one millisecond. Each sensor ships with a calibration certificate — calibrated against thermopile radiometers in bright sunshine with cosine and air-mass corrections — under a desiccant-sealed Pyrex dome. Used in the 5381/A2 and 5881/A2 weather stations and standalone installs for ET calculation, fire weather, snowmelt energy balance and climate research. Datasheet (PDF) →
